Life can be stressful and overwhelming at times. You might be coping with a long-term issue or trying to process something new in your life. In these times, it can be helpful to have someone to share this with and provide support. I provide therapy for teens and adults, with a particular focus on individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, addictions, or relationship concerns, including communication and boundaries.

When we begin working together, our sessions start with a lot of listening. I take time to really understand what’s been going on for you, what your concerns are, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. Building a sense of ease and connection early on is important to me, and many clients find that this helps them feel more comfortable opening up.

While I draw from a variety of tools and approaches, the goal is not to tell you what to do, but to help you come up with your own solutions based on your strengths, past experiences, and supports. There is often space to learn practical skills – such as communication strategies, boundary-setting, grounding, or breathing techniques – but a key part of the work is also identifying unhelpful patterns, like self-criticism or ways of thinking that get in your way. The aim is to help you build confidence, make more intentional choices, and move forward in a way that feels aligned with what you truly want for yourself.

I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and have been practising as a psychotherapist for the past 16 years, supporting people from early teens through to older adulthood.  I have worked in a variety of settings including groups, retreats, addiction treatment, and acute care.  Alongside my psychotherapy work, I also have years of experience teaching yoga and meditation.  In my therapy practice, I draw most heavily from the body- and emotion-focused training I completed during my Master’s degree, including mindfulness and parts-based approaches. I also incorporate brief therapy skills from my graduate certificate in Solution-Focused Therapy.  This background allows me to offer an approach that is grounded, practical, and responsive to both emotional and physical experiences.

People often leave therapy feeling more confident and grounded, with a clearer understanding of themselves and how to navigate next steps. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out to book a 15-minute consult to see if we might be a good fit and how we could work together.
