Beginning a therapeutic journey can sometimes feel uncertain, and you may not know where or how to begin; I hear you! I provide therapy for teens and adults who have difficulty understanding their emotional experiences and how these interfere with their daily functioning. This includes exploring concerns like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, academic issues, general life stressors, self-harm, and interpersonal conflict. Our emotions play a major role in how we perceive our life experiences and ourselves. We can explore this together!

In our sessions, we will work collaboratively, starting with checking in to see how you are doing. We will explore your most pressing issues, discuss ways to cope and navigate your challenges, and dive deeper into your emotions to understand their role in your life. This process aims to increase your awareness of how your emotions affect you and build more understanding of the connection between your mind and body.

As a bi-racial individual, I understand some of the challenges that multi-race populations experience due to the pressures, assumptions and biases that are often presented within society, creating confusion and discomfort surrounding your identity. I can provide a safe space to discuss such concerns.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Honours Psychology Degree from York University and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Degree from Yorkville University. I utilize a person-centered approach, integrating various modalities to support individual needs, as one size does not fit all. These modalities include integrated components from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. I have completed additional EFT training: Emotion-Focused Therapy Institute – Level One Training from York University.

I offer a warm and comforting approach, striving to create and maintain a safe space for you to share your most vulnerable moments. Engaging in the therapeutic process can create change that enhances your quality of life, offering a sense of peace and hope. If you are ready to get started, please schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we would be a great fit together!
